QuietSlate does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
QuietSlate is an offline Markdown notebook: you write notes on your phone, sort them into notebooks and tags, and read them back formatted. The pages that follow describe, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with the things you type into it.
None. There is no sign-up, no sign-in, no profile upload and no contact form. The display name and short motto you can set on the “You” screen are saved on the device and are never sent anywhere.
For the app to work, the following is kept in the operating system's local storage, on your phone, and nowhere else:
None of it is uploaded. Uninstalling the app removes every byte.
QuietSlate asks for no runtime permissions on Android or iOS — no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or notifications. The Android manifest does declare android.permission.INTERNET; it comes with the standard Flutter application template, is not a dangerous permission (you are never prompted for it), and goes unused, because the app contains no networking code.
QuietSlate is fully offline. It makes no network requests: no sync, no backup, no remote configuration, no crash reporting and no update checks. When you tap Share on a note, the text is handed to your phone’s own share sheet; whatever app you pick next is governed by its own privacy policy, and QuietSlate never learns where the text went.
None are integrated — no analytics, advertising, crash reporting, attribution or tracking SDKs. The app is built on open-source Flutter packages that work locally: sqflite (storage), flutter_riverpod (state), fl_chart (charts), flutter_animate (animation), intl (dates) and share_plus (system share sheet). None of them send data on the app’s behalf.
QuietSlate collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K). With no collection, no transmission and no profiling, there is nothing to consent to and nothing held on a server.
Your notes live only on your device. Edit or delete any note from the library, export one by sharing it as Markdown, or erase everything by uninstalling QuietSlate — that removes its private storage, every note, notebook, preference and the writing log, with no copy anywhere else. Because nothing is collected off-device, there is no access, correction or deletion request to make of us.
If anything in this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be revised, and material changes will appear in the app's release notes.
