# SaffronBoard — Privacy

updated:2026-09-17 scope:on-device only tldr:SaffronBoard does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. contact:[email protected]

// SaffronBoard is a packing-list app that drafts a checklist from the details of a trip — its type, length, climate, transport and extras — and lets you tick it off item by item.

[01] Information collected // inputs

Nothing. No account, no sign-up, no analytics. What you type into the app is not sent anywhere.

[02] Local storage // on-device

Kept in OS-level local storage on your device, never uploaded:

  • trips: name, optional destination, departure date, nights away, trip type, climate, transport, extras and packing depth.
  • checklist items: label, section, quantity, essential flag, packed state and time, hand-added rows and catalogue notes.
  • catalogue preferences: entries you pinned (always include) or muted (never include).
  • generator defaults: default trip type, climate, transport, list depth and the checklist view switches.
  • profile: the display name and optional home base you enter, used only on the profile screen.
  • milestones: progress counters derived from the data above.

Uninstalling the app deletes every byte.

[03] Permissions // runtime

No runtime permission is requested — no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, storage or notifications, and the iOS build asks for nothing. The Android manifest lists android.permission.INTERNET, inherited from the Flutter project template; it is a normal (never-prompted) permission and SaffronBoard does not use it.

[04] Network // egress

None. SaffronBoard talks to no server, API or third-party endpoint; the packing catalogue is compiled into the app, so it works in airplane mode. Tapping Share passes plain text to the system share sheet, and from there the app you choose decides what happens — SaffronBoard does not send it or see where it goes.

[05] Third parties // vendors

No third-party services. No analytics, advertising, crash reporting, A/B testing or social login. Dependencies are open-source Flutter packages used locally: sqflite, flutter_riverpod, fl_chart, flutter_svg and share_plus.

[06] Children // coppa/gdpr-k

SaffronBoard collects no personal information from anyone, children under 13 (COPPA) and under 16 (GDPR-K) included. No data leaves the device and there is no advertising, so no parental consent is needed.

[07] Your rights // you

All of it is on your device and under your control: delete a trip (its checklist goes with it), swipe away any item, restore the generator defaults from the profile screen, or uninstall the app to wipe the whole database. There is no remote copy for us to export, correct or erase.

[08] Changes // changelog

If this policy changes, the updated field at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes are also noted in the app's release notes.
